What is Kajira.Org?
Kajira.Org is the portal to a foundation whose primary purpose is to provide support and education to the submissive woman. While men seeking to submit are not prohibited, the community is geared primarily to the unique circumstances of the submissive woman.
Communicate and interact without the distractions of a serve or a dance while still being able to revel in your submission. Share ideas and surround yourself with dominant individuals without feeling like prey. Converse on an intelligent level without feeling as though you have to be given permission to think and express your opinions.
The term kajira is extracted from a series of novels written by John Norman whose underlying theme is about a fictional place called Gor. The term is loosely translated into "slave", being donned that title requires training specific to the Gorean setting. The principles and ideals of the Gorean writings provide a platform from which some of the members have chosen to launch their lifestyle. We do not discount any member for not following a Gorean path. We do, however, expect mutual respect from all members toward one another, regardless of their choice.
Dominant members provide guidance and teach, driven by their nature to control and nurture those inclined to their leadership and form a very important part of the community through their collective voice and unique outlook at the joys and perils of the lifestyle. We commend them and encourage them to participate because they help forge the way.
The members of Kajira.Org include submissive and dominant minded people who remain true to their nature and seek out people of like mind. They come from all walks of life, and share a multitude of likes and dislikes that through the fascinating thread of power exchange - domination and submission, find a commonality.
While open-minded to everyone's beliefs, Kajira.Org is not a fetish site. It does not discuss kink. Members do not sketch out scenes. It is not designed nor does it support a role-play environment. Consequently none of the rules of engagement for a role-play setting apply.
It is a place to share ideas, provide support and educate in a safe, sane and consensual environment. Because it is formed by multi-faceted members who recognize this is part of them but not the sum of them, Kajira.Org offers off-topic forums as well, ranging from philosophy to health and fitness to fan fiction to general discussions about every topic the members' minds can conceive.
This summary cannot give justice to what lies within. Instead it gives a brief synopsis of what's inside and you can decide if you wish to explore more. The decision is yours. Live chat has been made available through an independently-owned server which allows for real-time conversation. There is a calendar available to its members and a photo album to share pictures. We are a creative bunch and many times need more than one way to express our creativity.
